Some of Our Favorite Landmarks

• Rec Hall: Located in the heart of the University Park campus, this versatile athletics venue is home to five varsity teams participating through all three college seasons.
• Old Main: This iconic Penn State landmark building was built in 1930 on the site of the original main building. The Old Main bell, which used to keep time throughout campus, sits in front.
• Nittany Lion Shrine: Donated by the class of 1940, this sleek statue was carved by sculptor Heinze Warnecke from a 13-ton block of Indiana limestone.
• Berkey Creamery: Visit this Penn State institution for the freshest ice cream in town. Since 1865, this creamery has been dishing up deliciousness in Penn State.
• PSU Libraries: The Pattee and Paterno libraries are the two main buildings of the Penn State library complex which contain 36 libraries at 22 locations.
• All Sports Museum: Learn more about the history of Penn State athletics at this museum located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium opposite the Bryce Jordan Center.
• Palmer Art Museum: With a permanent collection of more than 6,000 works, Palmer Art Museum contains American prints, contemporary art, and much more.
• Esber Recital Hall: The Penn State School of Music calls this recital hall home. This 400-seat auditorium is the primary venue for solo recitals and chamber music performances.
• Eisenhower Auditorium: Named for former University President Milton S. Eisenhower, this modern-style auditorium hosts almost 200 events each year and is Penn State's primary theatrical performance space.
• Arboretum: The Arboretum at Penn State is a place of beauty and renewal, a venue for the arts, and a pathway to discovery and enrichment. It provides education about plants, their history and importance on earth.
• Robesun Center: The Paul Robeson Cultural Center provides programs and services that encourage the appreciation of the diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultures of many under-represented area communities.
• Pasquerilla Spiritual Center: This center hosts culturally diverse multi-faith worship opportunities and events, celebrating our differences and similarities in a safe, supportive environment that enriches the heart and mind.
